The Spina Bifida Association of Colorado has established a Direct Aid fund to provide support to our SB community. We realize many different needs can arise and we hope this Direct Aid fund will provide some support to our community members.
Requests for Direct Aid funding will be accepted on a regular basis, and the request should include documentation of costs if available (paid receipts, invoices or bills, etc.) Please be creative in your applications for Direct Aid and let us know how the SBACO can support you. Some examples of possible aid requests might include the following:
Medical Supplies or Durable Medical Equipment Purchases
Therapy Supplies / Exercise Equipment
School supplies, teaching equipment, home school supports
Home improvement costs for renovations necessary for accessibility
Household bills / Groceries / Gasoline
Healthcare bills / Insurance
*If your need falls outside of these categories, please explain it in the application questions.
Each aid application will be reviewed by a committee of SBACO Board members and awards will be issued until annual available grant fund has been depleted. Proof of purchase may be requested or required, please upload any quotes or payment documentation you have or be prepared to submit it upon award of direct aid and your purchase.
Awardees will be asked to provide a testimonial for the SBACO, which can be shared anonymously and will help others learn of the grant opportunities available through the SBACO. SBACO Board members, employees and their families are not eligible to apply for grant funding.
